12th week

Twelfth week

For this week, Pn Foziah shows some examples of her students’ e-book. The reason is that she wants us to get the idea how to do the e-book. Well, creating e-book is not difficult, using the powerpoint, in which we already familiar with. To create e-book, there are some aspects need to be considered such as:

·         A theme for the story

·         Setting (time and place)

·         Plot that shows the conflict, climax and resolution

·         Characterization

·         Navigational tools to make sure the previous and the next slides can easily be opened

·         Pictures must be clear cut and appealing to the young learners

·         Sound to accompany the e-book reading and last but not least, moral aspect

After that, Pn Foziah checks our e-book and gives comment. For our group, Pn Foziah said it is okay, but still need to put some interactive pictures. Pn Foziah also shows the example of video editing skills. We have chosen mother’s love theme.

11th week

Eleventh week

For this week, we learn about photo editing and e-book. So, we are asked to edit a picture and post it in the photo bucket (the original and the edited). She gives us the user name as well the password to log in the photo bucket. While for the e-book, she told us to watch her slides regarding to photo editing. This is because she wants us to make our pictures more meaningful. She said that our pictures must have theme; friendship, love etc and have a copyright. And obviously, just like I mention just now, the pictures must look meaningful and creative because the pupils will love something that capture their eyes, with something bright, colorful and creative; suitable to their level. Next, Pn Foziah tells us to find partner, opposite gender regarding task two, which is about e-book. Pn Foziah also tells us about the criterion of the e-book which are;

·         The e-book must have pictures inside it

·         If possible, include some animations

·         An audio is a MUST

·         There must be a storyboard for our e-book

10th week

Tenth week

For this week, Pn Foziah asked us to complete 3 tasks in Module 3. We need to use audacity software, which the first task is to create your own ring tone. I have created 8 ringtones as I find that it so fun! For the next task, we are required to combine 2 songs and merge it into one. I have combine Sudirman songs, singing by Siti Nurhaliza. And last but not least, we need to extract all the noise and clapping sounds from Siti Nurhaliza and M.Nasir song which is Dua Insan using the knowledge we explored from Audacity (we need to download the song first from our GMAIL). Pn Foziah checked on each everyone’s work during the session.

9th week

Ninth week

Now, it is the ninth week already. And for this week, we are given the module 2, the heaviest and the thickest module I ever have! Module 2 is about photo editing skills. What make it so thick it, for just adobe Photoshop Cs 3, it has 60 tutorials that need to be completed. Well, I really feel demotivated because I don’t think I have enough time to complete the module. However, I know that this is for our future benefit. And why we have to edit the photo? This is because, we need the interesting, creative pictures to show to the pupils; as they will interested with the colourful and interesting pictures. Well, we can cut, use another background, and paste another picture on it. Besides adobe Photoshop, there are other software and they are;

8th week

Eighth week

So for this week, we need to submit module 1. Wow, it such a relief to send it back. However, we get another module to complete. It is not the module 2 but it is module 3 where we have to complete it during our festival break; which is Hari RayaAidilfitri. Module 3 is about audio editing skills and the software use to edit the audio is audacity. Well, audacity is for cut video, changing pitch and combine music. And in the module, there are a few tutorials that need to be complete and they are;

·         Change speed, pitch cut and join audio for making better quality audio files

·         Decrease and increase music tempo

·         Remove noise from audio, upgrading the quality of stupid audio files

·         converting and encoding audio file

·         changing the type of audio files from wav to mp3

·         create minus one

·         combine two songs

·         edit music and sound

·         saving and uploading

Besides that, there are two assignments which need to be completed;

·         teaching aids collections (both technology and non-technology teaching aids)

·         lesson plan (3 single period and 1 double period lesson plan)

This assignment need to be completed in group of five and our member group are; Rafidah, Shazni, Nizam, and Maha.
